We establish agroforestry plantations

We are an agroforestry company located in the North Caribbean of Nicaragua, with plantations in the municipalities of Siuna and Bonanza; we manage more than three thousand hectares of cocoa plantations in association with teak, and teak forest plantations.

The Caribbean of Nicaragua has favorable climatic conditions for the development of our plantations, established on lands that for decades had been degraded by livestock and agriculture from previous owners.

Our teak

We use state-of-the-art technology throughout the process, from nursery to use. Our wood adheres to the demanding parameters of the international market for luxury furniture and constructions or for those products that demand high durability and climate resistance.

We produce log and sawn wood according to the measures and qualities that your project requires.

Our cocoa

Our fine aroma cocoa, of selected varieties meets the characteristics required by the international market for the manufacture of chocolate. We plan to produce 180 tons of dry cocoa in 2024, and we project to reach a production close to 2,200 tons in 2030.

Sustainability and GHG reduction

We develop highly productive agroforestry systems of teak and teak in association with cocoa, without sacrificing the environment. Developing programs to strengthen biodiversity and recover the forestry vocation of the area. We are certified to issue greenhouse gas emission elimination bonds.

Carbon credits

The Verfied Carbon Standard seal enables MLR's customers not only to purchase world-class teak wood and fine cocoa with organoleptic characteristics in high demand in the market, but also to generate carbon offsets, which are a real contribution to the carbon emission reduction plans of their operations.
